The Person Behind the Pins

Hi, I'm Kazu.

Born in Nagasaki, raised in Fukuoka, and shaped by four years wandering the ancient streets of Kyoto — I've spent over a decade calling Tokyo home. Every weekend, I clock 20,000+ steps exploring the city, quietly collecting its hidden gems.

Why I Started This

It started with a simple frustration. Every time I traveled or showed a friend around Tokyo, I wished there was a clearer way to separate the places locals actually love from the ones that just happen to be popular with tourists. So I built it myself. Each map is a blend of what's trending right now and what makes a place feel genuinely local — the kind of mix you'd only get from someone who actually lives there.
